Rise and Shine!
With less than 2 months home, Jack's doing a fantastic job of adjusting. Would you believe these kids all have bad head colds? Jack sounded terrible coughing through the night but woke up in the most chipper mood. For someone who spent the first three weeks home afraid to climb on a chair, I found him in his brother's bunk bed yesterday morning.
Charlie quickly joined in.

Charlie's Art
Maybe I'm just doting, but I love our 4-year-old's drawing style. Here are a few pictures from yesterday...

Jack's Words
With his older brothers stealing the blog, I only felt it fair to post something on Jack. After being home for just over a month, we are beginning to enjoy seeing the real Jack. Here's a list of the words we have heard him say consistantly and in the order he started saying them. Some are still Chinese, but we are able to understand.
English - Jack's way of saying it.
car - first was she swah now ca, please - ching, thanks - she she, uh-oh - uh-oh, bye-bye - bah bye, Dad - ba ba, Mom - ma ma, Rob - Ro, Charlie - Mu ya (Don't know why, but is very consistent), up - bu bu, no - first was boo now no!no!no!no!, where'd it go? - go?, dog - do, duck - quack quack, yes - yah, potty - po dah, truck - tru, stop - sto

Birds
Charlie - Mom, when will I be a baby chick?
Mom - Never, Charlie.
Charlie - But Mom, I can feel my wings ready to pop out! I really want to be a baby chick.
Charlie has several pet baby birds in our front yard. There are three nests. Two have baby doves. Charlie's waiting for his Robin's eggs to hatch.

Baby Bunny
Charlie caught his first bunny. He said he just tip-toed up and grabbed it. We took pictures, set it free, and washed hands. If you wonder where's Jack, he preferred conversing with Grandpa and our neighbor over inspecting the bunny.
As a side note, this is not our first wild animal of the season. Both Rob and Charlie took a mom and baby toad to school, last week. The baby escaped during Charlie's finger painting time. Luckily Mrs. W. had one free hand to catch the baby and put it in a safer container.

Rob's Teeth
Charlie's been giving me some really good material for the blog. Watch Charlie's reaction to Rob's teeth. Mike and I sort of made a parenting mistake with the Tooth Fairy. Rob's first tooth went missing during the night. He said he felt our arms searching for the tooth under his pillow. Rob still sort of believed that the TF was real, since he or she left a note for Charlie saying he could keep the tooth. I was a little late putting the TF's second gift under Rob's pillow. I just handed it to him in bed. I told him to go back to sleep. I wonder what he's going to say when he gets up.

My Birthday Cake
This year, I asked the boys to help me bake my birthday cake. Here are some pictures from yesterday's experience.
